Deal With It news

From the gentleman at Dead and Gone Records (see link below)-

"We're happy to announce the release of Deal With It's debut 7" 'World Coming Down'. You can get it from our webstore now and early birds will get the record on coloured vinyl. 5 tracks of the finest straight edge hardcore you will hear this year

In an age where straight edge is all but done with, when it's more important to be vapid and ironic than to have an opinion on something, when a person is judged by their choice of trainer instead of what they're ready to commit, Deal With It arrived on the scene to bring back some integrity. Outspoken and energetic, they combine the best elements of Breakdown, No Warning, Cro Mags and Leeway.

Musically hard as a bag of hammers, and lyrically world weary and full of rage, Deal With It are a hardcore band in the truest sense of the word, and are a force to be reckoned with. "My world is coming down"

Deal With It will be playing a record release show at The Fenton in Leeds on February 28th with Fast Point, Choke, Dirty Money and Run Like Hell. DWI aren't standing still and we will be recording for a split with Dirty Money very soon. The band are also travelling to the mainland to appear at this years Light The Fuse fest. Make sure you check them out.

Rest In Peace, Mikey.

Michael Lambert, photographer and head of the team at Join The Pit passed away a few days ago in his apartment in Luxembourg.

There will be an unmistakable void on the mainland now without Michaels smile and wonderful nature. We thank him for all his support for uk bands, and I personally feel honoured to have known such a kind and wonderful person.

Mikey, you will be missed and I hope you are happy where ever you are.

Photos done the right way..

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

There is one thing with "those kids" that stand at the front of shows, with their big cameras and their big flashes that really gets to me.. that noone else ever gets to see those pictures. They become pictures that are lost on the owners harddrive, never to be see by anyone but the owner themselves. This, to me, defeats the point of band photography in the first place.

Jan is one of the exceptions to this rule. From the moment he moved to London, he has been seen stood taking hundreds upon hundreds of photos at most shows and, much to our delight, posting the best from his collection on his website a couple of days later (the latest being from the Black My Heart shows). From band pictures to photos of his friends to kids dancing, Jan always manages to capture the energy and the atmosphere of the shows he attends.

His work, and sharing of his work, is very much appreciated, so please click on the banner above and check out his pictures.

"Tough guy hardcore should be banned"

Between March and May, there are around a couple of fests and all dayers in London to take note of, the first being Facedown 07, followed by Crucifest, followed by Damage Control (date/line up/venue TBA) and finally, the late may all dayer. Now you can't complain of nothing to do on your weekends. As well as this, there are a huge amount of other bands coming over including the Sick Of It All/ Wisdom in Chains tour as well as Merauder and First Blood. Have a look in the calender for tour dates.

Also, if you are willing to go on the mainland, Filled with Hate have just announced the line up for filled with hate fest line up, to be held in Essen, Germany, with a one off from NJ Bloodline..worth the trip purely for this.. Well, this and Dunkin Donuts.
